Dr. Devon House is the newest Associate Veterinarian with Tranquility Veterinary Clinic. Dr. House received her Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University in New Brunswick for Pre-Veterinary Medicine in 2017. She then went on to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2022, graduating Summa cum laude. Her areas of professional interest include neurology, ophthalmology, and acupuncture.
Dr. House's veterinary career began in 2014 when she worked as kennel staff at her local veterinary hospital. After shadowing a veterinarian family friend, she immediately knew veterinary medicine was her calling. Even through her years of veterinary school, Dr. House remained a technician’s assistant with any off time she had. According to Dr. House, the veterinary profession is the perfect combination of all her interests in one place: teaching; science; problem-solving; giving back to the community; the necessity for continual learning, growth, and medical discovery; and the most adorable patients.
Dr. House grew up in Clinton, New Jersey, and recently relocated to Tranquility with her 13-year-old chihuahua named Sigmund by her side. Outside of using her science-driven mind at work, Dr. House has quite an artistic side! She enjoys painting, attending live music, board games, reading, dance, Broadway, travel and much more.
