Tranquility Veterinary Clinic

Diagnostic Care

When it comes to diagnosing pets, the greatest challenge veterinarians face is that pets cannot communicate what hurts or how they feel. For this reason, veterinary medicine relies heavily on diagnostic technology to pinpoint the source of symptoms. Tranquility Veterinary Clinic is equipped with a full-service laboratory, advanced imaging technology, and other diagnostic tools to help our veterinarians come to the most accurate diagnosis for your pet.

In-House Laboratory

With a full-service diagnostic laboratory on-site, our medical team can run diagnostic tests and receive results within minutes. Our laboratory is equipped to perform intestinal parasite checks, urinalysis, CBC, blood chemistries, and tests for heartworm disease, Feline Leukemia, FIV, Lyme Disease, and other tick-borne diseases. If your pet requires a diagnostic test we cannot perform on-site, we can send a sample to an outside laboratory for testing.

Digital X-Ray

X-Ray imaging offers a wealth of information about your pet's health quickly and non-invasively. Our veterinarians use x-rays to detect bone fractures, soft tissue problems, bladder stones, tumors, swallowed foreign objects, and more.

Tranquility Veterinary Clinic is equipped with a state-of-the-art digital radiology system, which returns detailed x-ray images within seconds! Digital radiology also uses less radiation than traditional film radiology, making the procedure safer for our patients.

We are certified to provide x-rays for the Orthopedic Foundation of American and PennHIP.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging procedure that uses sound waves to generate an image of the body's internal organs. Ultrasound has many uses in veterinary medicine, helping doctors locate and diagnose tumors, bladder stones, swallowed foreign objects, and much more. Our own Dr. Linda Krotje-Wall, a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Diplomate, is trained to perform ultrasound-guided biopsies.

Wisdom Panel DNA Testing

We offer the Wisdom Panel DNA kit for pet owners who want to identify their mixed breed pets. After analyzing your pet's skin cell sample, Wisdom Panel will send you a comprehensive report that includes ancestry information, breed descriptions, predicted weight profile, and more.
